Samsung has long catered to the Chinese market with its exclusive “W” series, which offers customized versions of the globally available Galaxy Z foldable phones. This year’s W25 series marks a notable expansion, featuring both the Samsung W25 Fold and the Samsung W25 Flip, designed to satisfy fans of horizontal and vertical foldable phones alike, as seen in leaked official renderings.

What makes the W25 series stand out is its luxurious design, specifically tailored for Chinese consumers. The devices come packaged in an opulent Black/Gold box, complete with a premium leather back cover, charger, data cable, and SIM ejector pin. The black and gold color scheme extends to the black finish of both the W25 Fold and Flip, adding a touch of elegance.

A distinctive feature of both phones is the large golden “Heart of the World” Chinese logo displayed prominently on the back cover. The mid-frame of the devices has also been completely redesigned with intricate golden patterned frames, giving the phones an extra layer of luxury.

In terms of specifications, the Samsung W25 Flip is expected to closely mirror the global Galaxy Z Flip6, though it will be slightly heavier due to its material changes. The Samsung W25 Fold, on the other hand, shares its DNA with Korea’s recently launched Z Fold Special Edition. W25 Fold may see a minor weight increase because of its premium construction.
With these design and specification upgrades, Samsung is hoping to capture the attention of Chinese customers, blending cutting-edge technology with an aesthetic appeal that speaks to luxury and exclusivity.
